Chelsey thought she was coming to Niagara Falls just to see the beautiful sights for the first time. Avery had something even more excited planned!

Avery’s Mom contacted me and said her son was proposing at Niagara Falls and it had to be captured! She was so excited to hire a Buffalo photographer to do it! As a Buffalo and Niagara Falls proposal and engagement photographer I was so excited. Photographing a proposal is one of my absolute favorite things. Seeing the look of surprise on someones face is so exciting.

Since these two hadn’t been to Niagara Falls before it was my job to make sure we picked the perfect spot for a Niagara Falls proposal. As a Buffalo and Colorado elopement and proposal photographer, part of my job is to help you plan. I will scout out all your location possibilities and make sure we have the best spot! When I arrived on the Goat Island side of Niagara Falls there were snow fences up everywhere. The lower look out points were all closed off. Well that’s no fun for a proposal!

I found my perfect spot and then I waited. The last time I photographed a proposal I was 30 something weeks pregnant and hid in bushes. People must have thought I was nuts! This time I sat on a bench and blended right in with all the tourists enjoying the majestic views of Niagara Falls.

As I watched them approach my heart was pounding. I was filled with nerves and excitement for Avery! They hung out, enjoyed the beauty and then all of a sudden he dropped to one knee and proposed in front of Niagara Falls. Chelsey was so excited and obviously said YES!

Afterward we did a mini Niagara Falls Engagement shoot. I love all the excitement of being around a newly engaged couple! These two were so sweet!
